NAME
gcloud compute snapshots update - update a Compute Engine snapshot
SYNOPSIS
gcloud compute snapshots update SNAPSHOT_NAME
[--update-labels=[KEY=VALUE,...]]
[--clear-labels | --remove-labels=[KEY,...]] [GCLOUD_WIDE_FLAG ...]
DESCRIPTION
gcloud compute snapshots update updates labels for a Compute Engine
snapshot.
EXAMPLES
To update labels k0 and k1 and remove labels with key k3, run:
$ gcloud compute snapshots update example-snapshot \
--update-labels=k0=value1,k1=value2 --remove-labels=k3
`_k0_` and `_k1_` will be added as new labels if not already present.
Labels can be used to identify the snapshot and to filter them like:
$ gcloud compute snapshots list --filter='labels.k1:value2'
To list only the labels when describing a resource, use --format:
$ gcloud compute snapshots describe example-snapshot \
--format="default(labels)"
POSITIONAL ARGUMENTS
SNAPSHOT_NAME
Name of the snapshot to update.
FLAGS
--update-labels=[KEY=VALUE,...]
List of label KEY=VALUE pairs to update. If a label exists, its value
is modified. Otherwise, a new label is created.
Keys must start with a lowercase character and contain only hyphens
(-), underscores (_), lowercase characters, and numbers. Values must
contain only hyphens (-), underscores (_), lowercase characters, and
numbers.
At most one of these can be specified:
--clear-labels
Remove all labels. If --update-labels is also specified then
--clear-labels is applied first.
For example, to remove all labels:
$ gcloud compute snapshots update --clear-labels
To remove all existing labels and create two new labels, foo and baz:
$ gcloud compute snapshots update --clear-labels \
--update-labels foo=bar,baz=qux
--remove-labels=[KEY,...]
List of label keys to remove. If a label does not exist it is
silently ignored. If --update-labels is also specified then
--update-labels is applied first.
