Key Adaptations in Void Command
This ruleset makes several deliberate changes from the original Battlefleet Gothic rules:
| Original BFG | Void Command | Rationale |
|---|---|---|
| I-Go-You-Go turn structure | Alternating Activation | Reduces downtime, increases engagement |
| Column shifts for modifiers | Flat +/- modifiers | Simpler to calculate and remember |
| Separate ordnance phase | Unified Drift phase | Streamlines turn structure |
| Complex blast marker rules | Simplified contact rules | Easier to track on table |
| Scatter dice required | d12 alternative provided | Accessibility for new players |
The goal is to preserve the tactical depth and feel of BFG while modernizing the flow of play.
